It’s refreshing when someone involved in the frenzied debate over climate change drops all pretense and simply speaks his mind. That’s what Grist writer Alan D. Sacks has done in his recent article, “The Fallacy of Climate Activism.” The article is a must-read if one wants to understand the future world that some in the environmental movement have in mind for us. Finally, we have the truth from Alan Sacks, former director of the Center for Democracy and the Constitution, writing for the uber-environmental Grist website about what needs to be done to “save the planet.” All we have to do is to give up our entire technological lifestyle, and “leave behind 10,000 years of civilization.” In order to save the Earth, he tells us, we must give up trade, travel, technology, and most tool use.
