Jon Stewart discussed the American role in Syria on last night’s Daily Show — specifically President Obama’s increasingly fuzzy conception of his “red line” that Syria has to cross before U.S. military intervention. Even though the administration has said repeatedly that a “red line” would involve chemical weapons — something Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced while ordering off a menu and wearing a borrowed jacket, according to Stewart — there remain a lot of questions about the Assad regime.
