Die Gewalt weitete sich in den vergangenen Tagen auf zahlreiche andere Viertel aus. Die für Schweden ungewöhnliche Welle der Gewalt veranlasste die Außenministerien der USA und Großbritanniens dazu, ihre Bürger aufzufordern, die betroffenen Stadtteile zu meiden.
