The Free Gaza Movement Flotilla of 10 vessels allegedly transporting humanitarian goods to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza has been stymied by canny legal actions by Israeli and American lawyers, reports of alleged sabotage and Israeli passage of goods and materials into Gaza. Today, Greek Authorities arrested the captain of the “Audacity of Hope” vessel in the port of Parama, Greece to the consternation of the 36 US activists on board. Among those on board the “Audacity of Hope” are Flotilla organizer Medea Benjamin of Code Pink, Hedy Epstein, 86 year old Holocaust survivor, a fixture on the campus anti-Israel circuit, Amy Goodman of Democracy Now, and Adam Shapiro, co-founder of the International Solidarity Movement. http://www.newenglishreview.org/blog_direct_link.cfm/blog_id/36240
