Japan baut neues AKW
Electric Power Development Co. on Monday resumed construction of a nuclear plant in Aomori Prefecture, becoming the first power generation firm in Japan to make such a move since the disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi complex last year. With the nuclear crisis leading to the suspension of the project in the town of Oma, Masayoshi Kitamura, president of the wholesaler known as J-Power, said he expects the start of the plant’s operation to be delayed at least 18 months from the initially planned November 2014.
